Wellness House was there for my family when my father was diagnosed with and died of pancreatic cancer over 21 years ago. To this day my mom relishes the deep relationships formed with others who were struggling with fear, grief and loss at that difficult time. Wellness House also provided support for my aunts when they were diagnosed with and survived breast cancer. Today, my mother, our Team Captain, is living with Glioblastoma and the resources from Wellness House are making all the difference in her mental and physical health, as well as the rest of our family. This cause is very important to me, and I hope you will support me by making a donation.
Getting a cancer diagnosis can be stressful for the patient, their family, and friends. They just want to feel better –– and that may be its own challenge.
That’s where Wellness House can help. They're here to meet those needs –– to listen, teach, guide, and empower. They take a psychosocial approach to healing, accounting for all aspects that impact how people affected by cancer are doing, beyond medical care. There’s no right or wrong, just what works for the patient, family and friends.
Wellness House has been doing this important work for30 years. They are able to offer these critical services, at no cost to those affected by cancer, thanks to generous support from donors.
If you are unable to give during this financially difficult time, I would love if you could do a 3K or 5K walk where ever you are on Sunday June 28th, and send a photo. The emotional support reminds us that we aren't alone.
