Welcome & thank you for visiting my page!
Let me share with you how I got involved with Wellness House. A little over 2 years ago, I was working at Plum Grove Junior High and talking to a colleague about what kind of work I would like to eventually get into. That's when she told me about Wellness House. I did not realize at the time how much this organization would help me and I could help them. After reseraching what Wellness House was, I applied to become a volunteer with them. I went through all of the steps and was welcomed with open arms to volunteer with them. I helped with a kids camp over Spring Break 2017, I assisted in an art class, I stuffed letters one morning, and so much more! I also volunteered at the Walk for Wellness House in 2017 and had a blast. Due to a work conflict, I was unable to volunteer last year but of course still tried to help when and where I could. In August of 2018, I recieved news that I had a tumor on part of my liver that I would need to get removed. This was extremely overwhelming and Wellness House was there to support me. Due to the fact that this tumor was due to the treatment I received while I had leukemia, they were able to offer me their free counseling services. Wellness House was there for me when I needed them the most and I plan to be there for them for as long as I can.
I am thrilled to able to support Wellness House on May 5th at the Walk for Wellness House!
