I Am Walking for Wellness House on May 2. Here's Why:
Cancer affects us all.
My brother, Howie, was diagnosed with lung cancer in September 2019. During his treatment, he was fortunate to have access to the Wellness House, an organization created in 1990 to address the emotional and psychological effects of cancer. Their programs educate, support and empower participants to improve their physical and emotional well-being. Wellness House is supported entirely by philanthropy; all programs are free of charge to participants.
Although he passed away on June 24, 2020, the grief programs offered by Wellness House are a great support to my family and me.
My family, friends and I are participating in the 2021 Walk for Wellness House as "Team Thurman" (Howie's beloved middle name) because we know how important support and community is for people impacted by cancer, and we want to ensure their access to the life-changing programs and services at Wellness House.
I hope you will join us by making a donation to help people affected by cancer. No donation is too small - every amount helps!
Thank you so much!
