I DID IT!! THANKS for your donations!!! 3200.00 raised
Hey everyone! A year has passed since the last walk. As some of you know, my cancer has unfortunately returned. This year, I walk as a person living with Pancreatic cancer! I am also dealing with a knee injury, so i will do the walk with my crutches, near my home at the lakefront. I have come to rely on my weekly appointments with the Wellness House Oak Park cancer connections group on Mondays and the PanCan Thursday crew. I highly recommend Wellness House!
No matter how someone has been affected by cancer — maybe they've been diagnosed, have a family member who’s living with cancer, or are a caregiver — you're welcome at Wellness House. Learn new skills, get information, and join others when you take classes, practice healthful living, reduce stress, and more.
In response to the coronavirus pandemic, Wellness House quickly adapted programming to be accessible online. People affected by cancer are continuing to access the life-changing programs from the comfort and safety of their homes.
You can't put a price on what Wellness House provides. So we don't. Thanks to the generosity of individuals, foundations and corporations like you that provide gifts to Wellness House, there's absolutely no charge for all programs and services.
I am participating in the Walk for Wellness House because I know how important support and community is for people impacted by cancer, and I want to ensure their access to the life-changing programs and services at Wellness House.
I hope you will join me by making a donation to help me reach my fundraising goals, but more importantly to help people affected by cancer in our community. Y'all really came through in January, for the Day of the Dolly event, so wonderful!
Thanks Muchly xoxo! Tina (DBT, DollbabyTina)
