The Winning Whalers
Welcome to our Team Page!
One love, one heart....Lets get together and feel all right.
We started this walk to honor Brenda Collins-Szczepkowski and support Terri Robinson-Janecko. Brenda volunteered at Wellness house as a massage therapist before deciding to use the services they provide. Sadly Brenda passed away in March of 2012. Brenda was our beautiful and generous Canadian friend. We miss her laugh and compassionate spirit.
Terri is a cancer survivor who was able to get help and answers at Wellness house. We also honor Terri's mother Shirley Robinson who lost her battle with cancer in December 2015. She was a wonderful, kind woman who always had a beautiful smile to greet you. This year we walk to support Alison Vorreyer who is winning her fight with cervical cancer.
This walk is our way of remembering the people in our lives we lost and to give encouragement to our friends and family who are surviving their bout with cancer.
Whale always be there for you.
Getting a cancer diagnosis can be stressful for the patient, their family, and friends. They just want to feel better –– and that may be its own challenge.
That’s where Wellness House can help. They're here to meet those needs –– to listen, teach, guide, and empower. They take a psychosocial approach to healing, accounting for all aspects that impact how people affected by cancer are doing, beyond medical care. There’s no right or wrong, just what works for the patient, family and friends.
Wellness House has been doing this important work for more than 25 years. They are able to offer these critical services, at no cost to those affected by cancer, thanks to generous support from donors.
This cause is very important to me, and I hope you will join me by making a donation or joining my team!
