2019 Walk for Wellness House

Team Jollymon

Welcome to our Team Page!

No matter how someone has been affected by cancer — maybe they've been diagnosed, have a family member who’s living with cancer or have passed from cancer, or are a caregiver — everyone is welcome at Wellness House. There, they can learn new skills, get information, and join others when taking classes, practice healthful living, reduce stress, and more. All Wellness House programs and services are led by experts, designed to help participants feel better, at no cost to patients and their families. They offer more than 300 programs each month!

Wellness House has been doing this important work for more than 28 years. They are able to offer these critical services, at no cost to those affected by cancer, thanks to generous support from donors.

This year I am walking in honor of my Dad who passed away October 29, 2018 from a long 7 year battle with Head and Neck Cancer. His battle may have been long but he never gave up! I am so grateful for all the years I had with him, the support he had from Rush, Loyola, the Wellness House and from all our friends and family.

I did this walk last year with him watching me on the sidelines. I am doing this walk this year with him watching me from above. I know he would want me to keep moving forward and that I will.

This year I will be joined by my Co-Captain, Lauren Flores, who we will walk together side-by-side, just like we have in life, for both our Dads who have battled cancer! This cause is very important to us, and we hope you will join us by making a donation or joining our team!
